Dr. Palaniswamy is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He specializes in cardiac consultation for the entire spectrum of cardiac diseases including hypertension, lipid disorders, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valve disorders, stroke and arrhythmias. In addition to his competence in nuclear stress testing and echocardiography, he has a significant expertise in therapies for cardiac arrhythmias – including implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators, laser lead extractions and ablation of cardiac arrhythmias. He is a firm believer in bringing cutting-edge medical innovations to the Central Valley. He was the first in the Central Valley to perform the implantation of Watchman Left Appendage Closure device, a new catheter-based procedure for prevention of blood clots in a common heart rhythm disorder called atrial fibrillation.

Dr. Palaniswamy has been the lead author or co-author for over 100 research articles that have been published in prestigious journals such as Circulation, Journal of the American Heart Association, Heart Rhythm, JACC Electrophysiology, American Journal of Cardiology and International Journal of Cardiology. His research papers have been presented in over 100 scientific conferences worldwide. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society.
