Salome Soto, originally from the Philippines, moved to Fresno California in 1989, she graduated at Fresno City College in 2005 earning an Associates Degree in Nursing. In 2006 she began what would be an illustrious 12 years of nursing career at St. Agnes Medical Center on the telemetry floor. As a level IV Nurse she wore many hats, she was a mentor to many new nursing graduates, a relief practice coordinator, preceptor, a representative of her unit in Professional Growth and Excellence Committee, and served as interim Educator for her whole unit.
In the Fall of 2011 she was sought out by one of her Nursing Instructors to become an adjunct instructor at Fresno City College Nursing program in both the skills lab as well as in clinical rotations. Salome helped to mold and shape over 245 Nursing graduates within a 7 year period.
In 2013 her husband, a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, was sent overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She decided to keep herself busy by earning her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and continued on to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing and graduated with distinction. When she is not working, she enjoys going on hikes, 5K, fishing, golfing, and gardening with her husband.
