Karanvir is originally from India. She studied abroad and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Christian Medical College & Hospital, Punjab, India. She started her career as Clinical Instructor and Educator for Diploma Nursing Students. She started working at Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital, Fresno in 2007 and gathered tremendous experience in Cardiac ICU taking care of Post CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft), Respiratory Failure Mechanically Ventilated, General Surgery, ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation), PRISMA (continuous dialysis). Along with that, she took care of patients with acute myocardial infarction, permanent pacemaker implantation, post intervention (PTCA), and also performed clinical coordinator duties mentoring students and newly hired nurses.
In May 2015, Karanvir graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She decided to work in Cardiac Clinic as she already had cardiac background and always looked for further advancement in cardiology. She is excited to be working with Dr. Boran learning and acquiring valuable experience in cardiology.
